Solar Metering and Performance Monitoring Exposition

PG&E and the Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) are co-hosting a two-day Metering & Performance Monitoring Exposition Aug. 5-6, 2008, at the University of California, Berkeley. This is the only event of its kind in North America that brings together metering and monitoring system vendors, installers and sellers specifically for photovoltaic and solar thermal systems.

Solar Water Heating Pilot Program Economics of Solar Water Heating

The California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE) will be hosting a workshop with Dr. Burkhard von Spreckelsen on the economics of Solar Water Heating (SWH). Dr. von Spreckelsen is the director of Business Development North America for Valliant Solar Systems.
Solar companies looking to broaden their understanding of the solar water heating market and the economics of this technology are encouraged to attend. |
Solar Water Heating Basics for Homeowners—Dinner and Seminar

California Center for Sustainable Energy will be hosting an educational session to provide information on the different solar water heating technologies and their appropriate applications. Information will also be provided on the new Solar Water Heating Pilot Program, open to SDG&E electric customers. Homeowners can receive up to $1,500 in incentive for the installation of a qualifying solar water heater through the new program. Program Manager, Annie Henderson, and Energy Engineer, Skip Fralick, will conduct the session. Only homeowners are welcome to attend. Complimentary dinner will be served. |

Family Solar Energy Day is becoming a family tradition. Kids and parents not only learn about solar and the environment, but also have a great time doing it. This year’s event will take place at the breathtaking Spanish Landing Park overlooking San Diego Harbor. Come join us and race solar mini cars, enter to win prizes with our Sun Drawing Contest, participate in solar-powered experiments and learn just how solar works. 9th Annual San Diego Solar Homes Tour

Celebrating the ninth year of the tour, more than 40 homes throughout San Diego County are participating. This self-guided tour offers real-life, working examples of three residential solar energy technologies: solar electric (photovoltaics), solar water heating and solar pool heating.

PG&E’s CSI workshops are open to all audiences, but particularly designed for solar installers and dealers interested in learning more about the CSI application process and requirements for CSI incentives. Topics include: Interconnection Services, Metering and Monitoring Requirements, Field Inspections, Using the Database, Incentive Process, among others.
